'a vibrating milieu of shifting consistency.'
Soon, an extraordinary hotel will open its doors in North Amsterdam. Three amazing rooms will be built high up in one a monumental crane on the NDSM Wharf, a former ship-building area that’s developing into one of the city’s major creative hotspots. The idea to build a mini-hotel in the 50-meters high crane comes from real estate entrepreneur Edwin Kornmann Rudi. The crane has to be totally renovated in order to accommodate a hotel. After completion, the three rooms will be all accessible by two elevators. Sponge Architecture, an office located on the former shipping wharf, has taken care of the hotel’s design. @popupcity.net
